Volunteer Background Check

Baltimore County requires all volunteers for a rec council program to have passed a volunteer background check, every year, prior to working with participants.

If you would like to be considered for a coaching position or to help out with your daughter's team or with the program at large, you will need to complete the free background check process.

Please click the button link to the right to be taken to the county's volunteer application page. It may take 1-2 weeks to complete the process of approval through to listing on the approved volunteer list.

Once approved, your status is valid for 12 months. To check your volunteer status, you can check the current approved volunteer roster (second button). If the approved date will not extend through the softball season, or you are no longer listed, you will need to submit a new application.

When starting the background check process, choose "L-O Communities" to begin.
